ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: When
will I be able to get an appointment?
Answer: In most
cases you will be seen within 24 hours and in some cases, on the
day you call. It is important to begin therapy as soon after
your injury as possible in order to speed your recovery.
Question: What
insurance companies do you accept?
Answer:
None. In most cases, your health insurance does not become
involved.
Question: Do I
have to pay at the time of my visits?
Answer: No! In
the vast majority of cases, The ACTC will file your bill with
the appropriate agency and will wait until your case is
settled. (You will not be billed for a reasonable time to give
you a chance to settle your case. Up to a year until
settlement is common).
Question: Where
can I get my medications and other prescribed supplies?
Answer: The ACTC
will be able to provide your drugs and supplies in 95% of the
cases.
Question: I
don’t have money to spare for prescriptions or splints. WHAT DO
I DO?
Answer: The ACTC
will provide your medications, hot packs, and other supplies and
includes the charges in the bill submitted to the insurance
company. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY UP FRONT FOR ANY OF YOUR
MEDICAL EXPENSES AT THE ACCIDENT CARE AND TREATMENT CENTER, if
you have a valid claim against the responsible party.
Question: What
about my own car insurance?
Answer: Our
insurance clerk can help you find out what coverage you have.
If you have personal injury coverage, we can tell you how you
how to make a claim.
Question: Will I
continue to have pain after the treatment?
Answer: The
Medical practitioner will explain your prognosis and you will be
taught how to take care of your body to minimize the chance of
chronic or recurrent pain.
Question: What
about X-rays.
Answer:The ACTC
has a X-ray facility on site and can provide any required
studies prescribed.
Question: The
Doctor says I need an MRI. Can you do that?
Answer: No, but
The ACTC can arrange for you to get any necessary MRI studies
without having to pay until your case is settled.
Question: Do I
need an Attorney?
Answer: We can
help you determine if you should consult an attorney. If you
retain legal representation, we will work with your Law Firm and
provide the necessary statements. When requested, a narrative
report will be provided at a nominal charge to be paid upon
settlement of your claim.
