INSURANCE

When people are injured because someone else was “at fault” the Person or facility At fault will be responsible for property or personal injury.  They will also be responsible for any medical expenses incurred to evaluate and treat the injured party.  The at fault person’s liability insurance will ultimately pay for the expenses incurred by the injured party.  In the vast majority of cases, the insurance reaches a negotiated settlement with the injured party or their legal representative.  The settlement usually includes payment for pain and suffering and may include payment for lost wages if the injury.

If the person at fault does not have insurance, your own insurance policy may have under-insured or uninsured coverage.  Your automobile policy may also have personal injury coverage (also known as medical payment or med-pay coverage).

The professional staff at ACTC can help you determine your coverage and, if necessary can refer you to legal counsel who will also help you without requiring payment until you settle your claim.
